In my previous blog I was talking about Inspiration that guides you and helps you with making decisions. Next I want to share with you is something about making those decisions, and standing up for making a change in your life.
We cross certain points where change has to come. It's inevitable. As we keep learning and developing ourselves, we sometimes have to realize that we can’t go on living our life the same way. We need some change. We need to direct our lives in a different way. We get slowly pushed to make decisions. Some are not easy to make – it takes courage and time to open a new door. For it’s hard but we know for the best.
We might be afraid, but don’t let that fear win. I can’t be clear enough about this: It is important to know that we don’t live to please others, but to stand up for ourselves and your own lives. Do not let your life depends on others, but take a stand for yourself.
As I learned from a great friend, he always told me: ‘ be your own woman . Do not let anyone or anything else take control over you.'
Even the bible tells us: ‘For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.’ (Timothy 1:7)
That’s why after every decision we should be proud for the changes we made by ourselves.
We’re going a new way and leaving behind an old path.
When time has come for change, it means we have learned a important lesson.
Whatever decision you made, be excited for what you’ve overcome and what the future will hold next! Be thankful for the change.
Here’s a great song of Joss Stone. She used it as an intro for her album called Introducing Joss Stone. It’s based on a beautifull message carried out by Vinnie Jones. It always comes up in my mind when I think of Change.
