Wednesday 9 november 2011, Redondo Beach.
Last friday there was a great party in the shore - en het is gefilmd voor EF, so its on the Ef Los angeles Facebook ;) And im in it hahaha (bo said, cause I was really opvallend with my blond hair )Anyway, ik raakte aan de praat met een hele leuke jongen: his name is Kirk and he is 27 :) he doenst drink or smoke. Ik zag hem praten met bo en en raakte toen met hem aan de praat. En he turned out to be so nice! We just talked a bit and he introduced me to his friends, we went outside and sat talking on a terrasje - we were having fun. But then the shore was closing ( at 1 pm!!) and we had to leave. He had an afterparty by one of his friends. but he said to me: if you want to come, you can come, but if you don't want to, it's okay, we can hang out another time if you want! So we exchanged our numbers :) because he was doing whale wathcing and showed me awesoe pictures!! And I really wanted to do that again!! So he said he would call me when they were going :)
The next day he texted me, sunday he called me, monday he called me, and tuesday (yesterday) we went out for dinner!! :) He took me to a very very nice place with ocean view. We really had a good time there. we just sat there, eating, had some tea afterwards.. and before we knew it it was 23:30 hahaha! I swear, he is soo nice!! I dont know where to start talking about him: but he is 27, works for guess in beverly hills ( met andera bocceli in his store tuesday ), surfer, loves the ocean! Can't live without it! He has been in Australia for a couple of months. and lives here in Redondo. Originally he is from palos verdes, a nice place next to redondo beach. it supposed to be very beautifull met rotsen enzo, en je kan daar heel mooi wandelen!
After dinner he brought me home and asked me what I was doing on friday afternoon (his only day off this week!) and asked me if I would like to come with him, he would show me Palos Verdes and we could go walking on the beach and naar some nice places, try to take the very to a little Island called Catalina ( little touristic island in italian style - no cars, just walking, biking and scooters). SO OFCOURSE IM GOING !!! This was a very very nice evening!! He even texted me after: thank you for the good time, I really enjoyed spending time with you!! Looking forward to see you again on friday!!:)
And.. he's soo handsome!! first I thought he was a model.
And just a fact.. - WE DIDNT EVEN KISSED YET! so I call it a very good start :) We'll see what happens and im really looking forward to get to know him even better :)

Wow, I'm so thankful for this amazing guy. He's so special and incredibly nice. It feels good to be with him. I love spending time with him and enjoying his company.
Yesterday we went to Palos Verdes, did a little sight seeing and walked on the beach :) He told me about his loving family. He's fund about them. Speaks full of love. Everything he does is full of love. He's genuine, honest and the sweetest guy I've met so far.
End of the afternoon we went to his house, cooked a lovely dinner (homemade pizza) and watched a sunset in his Jaccuzi. Yes, he has a jaccuzi. It's shared with other appartments though, but still a luxury. And he has a lovely appartment. In Hawaiian style! As we were watching the starts I could feel this was a special night. I could feel this guy was so special. This morning I woke up.. next to him. Nothing happened, but after we had been in the jaccuzi we were just chilling in his room. He was showing me pictures of his family and paintings he made. We were really tired, and just felt asleep! He woke up though, but saw me sleeping and enjoying a good bed, so he just put a blanket over me and went back to sleep. His bed was sleeping so much better then my crappy bunkbed in a - with 4 people - shared bedroom. I was longing for a good night rest like this :)
It's such a special guy. And yes we kissed. this morning, when he drove me home.

Oh, how amazing it is to be around this guy. Will this be the moment I decide to stay?..
Nee, dit werd niet het moment waarop ik kon beslissen om te blijven. Ik heb nog enorm veel leuke dingen met hem gedaan, en echt genoten van zijn gezelschap. Zo lief, zorgzaam en eerlijk. Wel heb ik hem aan mijn ouders voorgesteld, en daarbij ook vertelt dat ik nog wel een paar maanden bij hem kon blijven wonen. Echter vonden ze dat geen goede beslissing. Mijn geld raakte op, ik moest mijn studie afmaken en mijn visum liep af.. Kirk vond het jammer, hij had zo graag nog meer tijd met me doorgebracht. Ik ook met hem. Maar hij begreep het ook :) En hij is gek op Amsterdam, dus wij gaan elkaar vast snel weer zien!
Na een lief, mooi maar ook een beetje verdrietig, afscheid kwam ik eind December weer aan in ons koude landje. In de regen, storm en kou. Heel wat anders dan California!
Daar lig je in de winter gewoon op het strand hoor, 26 graden, beetje surfen, iedere zondag naar beachvolleybal.
Inmiddels is het 2 jaar verder en ben ik altijd in contact gebleven met Kirk. Het was stiekem mijn droom bij hem te gaan wonen. Ook bij zijn familie was ik meer dan welkom. Hij wilde mij ook nog komen opzoeken, zodra hij genoeg geld had voor een ticket naar Amsterdam.
Maar helaas zal deze droom nooit uitkomen. Maandag 24 februari kreeg ik het schokkende bericht dat Kirk is overleden. Ik kan het nog steeds niet geloven.
One of California's most sweetest guy has passed away. This sweet guy will be forever in my dreams...
